Area Rug Protection Coverage Summary

We understand that a new area rug purchase is an important decision and investment. Guardian offers Furniture Protection Plans that allow you to relax and enjoy the beauty and comfort of your new area rug without the worry of life’s little accidents.

How the Protection Plan Works

If a covered stain occurs, simply call the toll-free customer service line within 30 days of the incident. Services may include:*

  • Professional cleaning for covered accidental stains
  • Full item replacement if unable to clean

Coverage for Area Rugs*

Plan term is for 5 years. All coverages are for covered accidental occurrences from a specific incident.

  • Stains caused by any food or beverage normally consumed by humans.
  • Mold and mildew stains caused by food or beverage spills.
  • Stains caused by human or pet bodily fluids.
  • Stains caused by grass, grease, ballpoint pen ink, iodine, nail polish, cosmetics, lipstick, crayon, and shoe polish.

How to Submit a Service Request

  1. Call the Guardian toll-free Customer Service number within 30 days when a covered damage occurs.
  2. To help expedite the service request process have your original itemized receipt and Plan documents in hand.
  3. Be prepared to describe the incident, including when and how it occurred, the size of the damage and the location. A photo may be requested to better assist with your service.

You will receive a copy of your protection plan documents via the email address that you provided at the time of purchase. You may also view your documents online by visiting and clicking on the “My Plan Documents” buttons. Please review the terms and conditions of your plan.
